Welcome To My Other Home

Welcome to an extension of "A Couple of Things."

Unlike that blog site, this link will deal strictly with product reviews and giveaways. As I receive goodies to share with my readers, I will link from my other blog over to here so that you can take advantage of some of the great things that come my way from time to time.

Listed below will be a couple of the past product reviews and giveaways that I have done recently.

Congratulations to the following fellow bloggers who are the lucky winners of my Yoplait giveaway:

Jody and Happi

Enjoy and thanks for reading! Hope to see you again here soon!

Who Wants a Freebie??

I love writing on this blog. I know, I've been lax lately but life has been hectic and up until recently, there hasn't been much to write about. Unless you'd like a play-by-play account of my latest project to switch over summer clothes to fall and winter (shudder), you'll have to read something else for entertainment.

But . . . speaking of entertainment, if YOU enjoy writing, then I have a fun give-away for 2 lucky readers. If you enjoy eating yogurt, then consider yourself extra lucky. ;-)

Thanks to the folks at MyBlogSpark, I have two nifty gift baskets of stationary and a cool pen to use along with it, in addition to a coupon for a free cup of Yoplait Thick & Creamy Yogurt. All YOU have to do is leave a comment here telling me what flavor you'd choose-if you're the lucky winner. (Incidentally, I chose vanilla. I also ate it all. No sharing occurred. Don't tell my kids!)

Oh, and if you're a new visitor to Thing 1 and Thing 2, leave me some information as to how I can contact you if you're the winner.

Ready? Set? Go!

Either you haven't moderated your comments or no one else is interested in freebies. I have been the recipient of your give-a-ways before, so I waited to leave my comment to give others a chacne. But if there are no other takers, I love freebies and coupons!! I would probably try the vanilla although I am a fan of strawberry banana, as well.

OOOOO pick me, pick me! : )

Love ya!

Oops, I'd pick the strawberry.

Out of House and Home

My girls are eating us out of house and home. Seriously.

I packed what I believed to be a nutritious lunch for Thing 1 to take to school yesterday. Her lunch bag returned, sans all food except for the main course . . . macaroni & cheese. Evidently I don't "make" it correctly. Seriously people, how can a person mess up Easy Mac??

Today was slightly better . . . spaghetti. Plain with butter. Boring. But she ate it. Progress.

I'm curious as to what other moms and dads might be packing for the kiddos to take for lunch. I'm in serious need of ideas and it's only week #2. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

On the topic of lunch ideas, I have to send a s
hout-out to the great folks at My Blog Spark! They sent me a brand new product to try out and I have to give a thumbs-up to this one . . . brand new Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters. They come in 4 flavors: Nut Lovers, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew and Honey Roasted Peanut. I've decided that Roasted Almond is my personal favorite. Don't take my word for it. Check them out for yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I even got the kids to try them. I didn't even have to bribe them. In fact, they just might be taking a trip to school inside someone's lunch bag tomorrow.

Easy Mac WON'T be on the menu though. I guarantee it!

Unless someone else makes it. Any volunteers??

How can you mess up Easy Mac? It tastes a bit different than the regular mac and cheese, so maybe she thought she had the other stuff.
